GHGSat has won a top Quebec business award, the Mercuriades prize, in the RBC Banque Royale Start-Up category. GHGSat is a Montreal-based aerospace company that specializes in satellite technologies capable of monitoring greenhouse gas (GHG) and air quality gas (AQG) emissions from any industrial site in the world. GHGSat has partnered with Canada’s Oil Sands Innovation Alliance to develop a new approach to measuring GHG emissions that would help oil sands producers monitor and reduce their GHG footprints. The Mercuriades are a set of annual awards given out by La Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec, recognizing leading entrepreneurs and innovators in Quebec’s business community.
