Canada announces funding for natural gas and oil clean tech innovation

The Government of Canada announces $100 million to fund clean technology development via the Clean Resource Innovation Network (CRIN).

On March 19, the Government of Canada announced $100 million dollars over four years committed to the Clean Resource Innovation Network (CRIN) from the Strategic Innovation Fund. The funding recognizes the collaborative and innovative track record of Canada’s oil and natural gas industry at delivering clean technologies that result in significant environmental performance improvements.

The federal government’s commitment will be co-invested with the private sector funds within CRIN.

CRIN is an industry-led network that connects the oil and gas innovation ecosystem (industry, academia, governments, inventors, entrepreneurs and investors) to accelerate the commercialization of clean technologies that secure Canada’s place as the global leader in clean hydrocarbon production from source to end use.
