What is Indigenous Strong?

Indigenous workers join together to show support for oil and natural gas.

Indigenous Strong was launched at the 2019 National Coalition of Chiefs Energy and Natural Resource Summit in Calgary. Indigenous Strong is an organization comprised of Indigenous workers committed to supporting Canada’s oil and gas industry through public rallies and social media.

Indigenous Strong also intends to share and promote employment opportunities, business contracts and partnerships in the oil and natural gas industry with its members, and help recruit and retain more First Nations and Métis people in the workforce.

There are about 12,000 self-identified Indigenous workers in the oil and natural gas industry today. To join Indigenous Strong, click here.
