By The Numbers: B.C.’s natural gas and oil supply chain has province-wide impact

iTotem research shows that B.C.’s natural gas and oil industry creates jobs and economic growth in all regions of the province through its supply chain

iTotem Analytics surveyed upstream natural gas and oil producers in the province of British Columbia, and found that participants in the survey spent $4.7 billion on goods, materials and services between 2018 to 2021—purchased from more than 2,400 B.C.-based suppliers located within about 140 different B.C. municipalities and Indigenous Nations. The iTotem study was commissioned by the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers.

Supply chain products and services included: construction, equipment, drilling, transportation and environmental services.
